NATIONAL LAUNCH OF THE SANITARY TOWELS PROGRAM PLANNING MEETING

State Department for Gender Principal Secretary Anne Wang'ombe chaired the planning meeting for the national launch of the Sanitary Towels Programme for school girls in public primary and junior secondary schools. 
The government, through this State Department and the National Government Affirmative Action Fund - NGAAF is working to ensure that all school girls in public primary and junior secondary schools stay in school as they observe their menstrual cycle and do so with dignity.
The PS thanked all members present for their show of commitment to the women's agenda and urged them to ensure they plan meticulously for the success of the launch.
